"The hotel is In an ideal location and the staff were most welcoming. We chose to dine in as the meals were excellent and reasonably priced and the service good. Our room was good and the rate fair. It could however benefited from a small kettle to make a hot drink."

"The accommodation was good for the price. Location was quite, and site was clean. Inside the cooking facilities, and cutlery was old and mix matched. Think bedding should be offered as a option to rent as no sheet or pillow case, just a sleeping bag for cover was provided. Luckily i was travelling on elsewhere after so i had my own pillow, and sleeping bag. "

"Lovely hotel in the Dordogne countryside. Nice drives to the sights nearby (20-50 mins to many, many sights). Great restaurant attached to the hotel where we had some fantastic meals and wine (28 euro 4 course menu was fantastic). Pool area and grounds were very relaxing."

"The desk staff at this hotel was incredibly unfriendly. We booked two nights total, coming and going. On the second arrival the desk clerk was rude, confrontational and we learned later a liar. The location on the river isn’t worth the toxic environment created by the desk staff. There are better friendly alternatives."

Sauna Good tennis court Mini golf Lovely view over the fishing lake Clean comfortable rooms Good food Campsite next door with pool and slide and fab fishing lake. Cons: It's in the middle of nowhere. You need a car to go anywhere. We didn't have one! Menu: Although great food, it's French and if you're fussy/have kids, you may find it an issue. Only one staff member speaks English, so...

"For the price I paid I was VERY Happy with Résidence Lagrange Vacances Le Clos des Vignes. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location right next to the park / beach . We ate out most of the time but everything appeared to be within the apartment for those who eat in. Furniture a bit jaded, but again for what I paid for it I can't complain. Would definitely return. "Compact and well appointed , we liked the sliding shutters that kept out the sun, and tge masses of storage. It would be a great place to spend several days exploring the area. Julien and Angelique are good hosts who made us feel very welcome, and it was lovely to be able to have an excellent dinner there too after a long drive. We felt the only thing that let it down was the minimalist breakfast- not very good value. We would certainly return, but maybe not for breakfast."

"We used Le Mas des Boires as a home base for a family wedding (service in Saint-Jean-de-Côle, reception at Chateau des Boires). The property was beautiful with a wonderful outdoor garden, refreshing pool (although smaller than the picture), and well-appointed stately rooms with private bathrooms (we had two large side-by-side rooms with balconies that overlooked the property. We loved the historic charm of the building - huge manger in the dining room; stone walls, exposed wood beams, etc....
