"The hotel is located by the main shopping estate in the area, not exactly in Cognac but easy enough to drive into Cognac on one straight road. Wifi is not very well connected. I used it in the common dining area. Breakfast is fine. Parking is ample. Communal kettle by the entrance did not go down well for me. I have to fetch water from my room to fill the kettle and boil it in the public area. Not great value for money but is acceptable and adequate for a stopover."

"This is a very centrally located hotel that was ideal for visiting Cognac. The room we had was spacious, clean and had a fully accessible bathroom that would be nice if you had mobility issues. There is no parking on site, but there is street parking and a nearby free parking lot. Staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. "

"The check-in was done through a 'key ATM' outside the building. The area was very weird and there were people hanging out in the parking lot. There were ZERO hotel staff anywhere in sight. We checked in through an ATM and it dispensed our key. The room was incredibly small and the towels and other items were thin and cheap. "We booked this hotel mainly because it had an evening reception and a restaurant as we were arriving on a Saturday evening. The Expedia website stated that 'The front desk is open daily from 5 PM - 11 PM' and 'This hotel features a casino, a restaurant and a bar/lounge.' However, when we arrived at about 6.30pm we found the hotel locked and deserted! "We spent a wonderful 5 nights here to explore the cognac region. The staff are fantastic, the gardens beautiful, and the food absolutely superb. They have a large selection of cognacs to taste too. Even though the mattress was a little too firm for our liking, we still slept well. A wonderful place to stay and would love to return. "

"Lovely out of the way hotel. Stop over on a long business trip and was very happy to find this charming residence. Helpful staff as my grasp of the French language is somewhat limited. Chef was ill on our night, so couldn't sample the wares, but local restaurants only 5mins away by car. Room was nice and bright, though could certainly benefit from air conditioning as was very warm. A fan was provided. Would certainly stay again."
