"The Snug lives up to its name, the rooms are clean, air conditioned and very small but quite cozy for a couple or an solo traveler. It sits in the heart of the very busy and vibrant Latin Quarter and parking is four blocks away. Perfect for people who want to step outside get straight into Galway's attractions. Staff were friendly and very helpful in guiding us to things to do. No restaurant, so you will be on your own for meals. But coffee shops open at 8 and there are several within a block or...
"On the minus side: Location is in a semi industrial area so not close to Galway shopping and nightlife. Internet connection was not working so front desk gave me an admin password. Coverage was spotty.
On the plus side: restaurant was very good and breakfast was excellent selection. Hotel was clean but hallways are very dark."
"We stayed for 3 nights in Oct 26. The location couldn't be better -- 1 block from the train and intercity bus station and right on the edge of the Latin Quarter -- great pubs and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is also very good. The bar is split into 4 rooms. They have live music every night. I highly recommend you check out the first bar you enter from the hotel check in area. Sit at the right side of the bar and watch the painting of "Sir Skeffington" on the wall to the right of the bar....
"Just what we needed: near enough to the train station and action but away enough from the noise when we wanted to sleep. For the morning, there are 3 cafes you can almost roll out of bed into. Our room had a second twin bed, but there are a few rooms for two people as well. It even had a small fridge to keep our samples from the cheese monger and some fruit from Dunnes. Staff helped with dinner ideas (cost and quality) and making sure we were prepared for outings. Do keep in mind if you get in...
"This hotel is a nice relaxing place to stay in. Staff are the best, food is excellent. The shower is the only problem, they need to move the shower curtain rod away from the bathtub to give more space when using the shower."
"Really enjoyed the hotel. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, the bartender (especially Rachel) were phenomenal. My only complaints were the beds were a bit hard and the temp in the rooms were a bit warm. Other than that it was an amazing trip and I would absolutely return!"
