Lovely hotel . Very helpful and friendly staff on reception, bar area and dining area. Breakfast was delicious lots of variety and all piping hot. Definitely recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

Friendly and helpful young staff although they seemed short-staffed. Check-in is at the bar so they were busy with checking in guests and taking food and drinks orders. My room had a comfortable big bed, bathroom was clean and modern, the shower floor was quite slippery. Nice hair dryer available. I had a large suitcase and had to improvise with a footstool and a small folding luggage rack to open it. There were 4 clothes hangers but had I wanted more I'm sure they would have given me some had I...

This place feel like the heart of Edinburgh, super easy to get around & very friendly staff..Highly recommend it..

Great location close enough to Grassmarket, Victoria St and the castle. Also close to where most tours depart. I chose the full breakfast option in the room rate and it was very good and worth it. Staff was courteous and helpful. Twin beds room was basic but clean and quiet. Stayed in the 4th floor but hotel does have an elevator. Would stay here again if we ever go back to Edinburgh. 30 min walking from bus station. Very good option for the price.

My wife and I had a great stay at this property on a 4-day visit to Edinburgh. It's centrally located in the New Town, close to Princes Street and a short walk to Old Town and the Royal Mile. It's got a boutique-y vibe which we liked. Everyone we met on the staff was very friendly and helpful, and helped us arrange accommodations when our return flight was cancelled. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and we greatly appreciated how clean and made-up it was when we returned at the end of...

Amazing, quaint hotel that also still serves as the Royal Scots Club. Located in a more quiet part of New Town, yet only a few blocks away from St. Andrews Square, Princes Street & Stockbridge. Hotel atmosphere might be a bit too settled for families with small children or younger partygoers & clubberers, everyone else who is looking for a nice and quiet retreat from the hectic and tourist filled city and a friendly, personal staff should not get disappointed.

Comfortable beds and close to everything

Everything about native hotel was wonderful. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Always a pleasure staying here ! Wonderful stays . Elevator is a bit slow but that’s not a huge issue . Wonderful place I do recommend

Room is clean and sufficient if all you’re doing is sleeping in the room. Great proximity to Haymarket station and easily walkable to both Old Town and New Town. My only letdown was the water pressure in the shower, but a historic building is probably dealing with historic pipes.

We love this Holiday Inn Express. All the staff especially PANUWAT were great. Panuwat made sure we had everything we needed. He explained all the hotel had to offer. He was kind and patient. Because we are loyalty members (this is our 4th time at this property) he was able to get us a late check out for my senior citizen mother. Thank you Panuwat and IHG!!

Anders’ apartment is ideal for a single person or a couple. It is clean, accessible, well equipped. Anders is very prompt in answering all questions and providing assistance. The only thing to bear in mind is that entry to the building requires going down a long set of stairs, and leaving requires ascending the same stairs. This is easy if you are empty handed, but can be challenging if you are carrying luggage. I would still gladly stay at Ander’s apartment.

Good

This hotel was just off the Royal Mile close to the train station and any shop you can imagine. It was a bit loud, but had a great vibe and a nice bar in the lobby.

Hotel is literally right across the street when you walk out of the train station and near everything you'd want to see in the city or by public transit to get there. Room was nice, clean and offered amenities expected. Bed was very comfy. Would recommend.

Clean sheets. Bathrooms a bit dirty

Lovely hotel in a local and walkable neighborhood.
