"This is fabulous hotel! Very picturesque, clean, modern and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The pool is a great size with a modern gym. We stayed here for easy acess to Yala national park which is only about 20 mins away. "
"We enjoyed our stay. When we arrived we were told it was not possible to stay because we only had one room booked, when I showed printouts of our booking with two rooms they found a second tent at the far side of the site for the first night and moved us next to each other for the second night. Thankfully our sons are adults so it didn’t really matter. The pool was closed for maintenance which was a shame! The bbq dinners were excellent, everyone sat around the campfire at tables. "Room wasn’t very clean. The bath was dirty the bed sheets had holes in them and the rugs on the floor were very worn. Considering the cost. A bit of re- investment would not go a miss. "
"Very friendly and efficient manager, beautiful outlook, sadly we could only stay one night.
Beds were a bit hard for us, but plenty of very hot water for the shower.
In at 4:30pm out at 5:00am for Yala Safari.

"We stayed here for a few days to go to Yala National Park and Hotel Elephant Eye was a great location for taking a SAFARI Tour. The owner is very friendly and the staff are very hardworking. The property is very well maintained. Room was clean and comfortable. We had breakfast in the restaurant. Easy walk or Tuk tuk to town for restaurants and grocery stores."

"This was a nice spot, and very comfortable room. Good location for Yala National Park safaris.
Breakfast was generous and we had dinner once which we enjoyed.
The pool can be enjoyed, but does come with some non-threatening bugs which I understand is an issue in many of the nearby pools. This didn't stop the kids enjoying it, plenty of guests used it and there were no after effects. Just a byproduct of life in the area!

Had a wonderful stay at Hantara Udawalawe. The place was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with excellent facilities. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to provide great support. The peaceful surroundings and overall hospitality made our stay very enjoyable. "The manager and staff were super nice which is really what made our stay. They went over and beyond to make us comfortable.
The facilities are average but some of it does need an update as the A/C units are really loud and the curtains aren't in great condition. Also the Wi-Fi didn't work in the rooms and so to use Wi-Fi you need to go to the common area which in the evenings gets a TON of mosquitoes so that wasn't idea. But the pool was nice and landscaping was well-maintained. "
