"The bathroom was dirty. Ingrained dirt on bathroom panel. After being told it would be OK to use spa after checkout, on checkout rhe manager said No."

"We weren’t really there that long as we couldn’t check in until 21:30 (our fault, not the hotel!) as we had been at a wedding all day so it was more or less into the room and straight to sleep!
The room itself looked a bit dated- carpet & furniture could do with updating but the bathroom you would be proud to have in your own home. Well decorated and an amazing shower!
If I’m being really picky then the only other things were a full bin in the room from the previous guests plus a half eaten...

"This was a stay mainly to see the area not to use the facilities but the gym looked good . I wanted to use the pool one evening but it was closed at 6 when i went so beware of that . Food was great and good value . Breakfast was excellent with a good choice . Excellent room for wheelchair users which my wife is . Brilliant wet room and excellent all round . Parking good also ."

"I really enjoyed my one night stay at Y Pengwern. The bar was friendly when we checked in, and when I was shown my room was amazed at how big it was. I was backpacking and there was plenty of room to reorganise my kit, and the bed was large and very comfortable. After a long day's walk we were looking forward to food, and were very happy with the big hearty meals we had in the restaurant.
