"We were welcomed enthusiastically with very friendly service. The hotel is rustic and rural, very quaint and lovely. The food was great, too. Our only complaint would be that the mattress was uncomfortable, otherwise highly recommended for a one night stay."

"I cannot say enough good rhiings about this property. The owners Herman and Carla are the kindest most accommodating people I’ve ever met. We arrived late and they were waiting up for us. They helped with the luggage very clear instructions and details about the property. It is clear in every way that that take personal pride in all aspects and the tiniest details. The room was clean, well appointed, comfortable, great water pressure, plenty of hot water, well stocked kitchen, radiant heat in floors, quiet, comfortable bed I could go on and on. Suffice it to say, if you are looking for a wonderful place to stay in Trujillo stop looking and book this hotel. You will be very happy. We travel to Spain for several months every year and we will be back here again. Every now and then you run into a real gem. This is one of those. After Herman went and got our car for us and helped load all of our luggage. He ran inside and grabbed a rag and some spray cleaner to remove the bird poop from our car. Just a small example of the service and attention to detail you receive at this hotel. "

"We arrived in the dark after a long journey and Laura looked horrified at the 2 dogs as we had reserved a suite which was not dog friendly. She swiftly sorted it out and changed our room. I then enquired about our dinner reservation and she told me that the restaurant was closed as our reservation had not gone through . No bother to Laura, she just said we would have to have something very simple that she would produce. Unbelievably good Iberian Ham, local cheese, quince jam, washed down with delicious wine made a perfect evening! The room was warm and comfortable and we had a lovely walk round the olive groves the next morning with (of course) a delicious breakfast. If I could give 10 stars for service Laura would get them!"

"This is a very convenient stop-over between Santander and Barbate/Vejer/Conil where we were staying. Simple, clean room,super helpful staff and great food at an amazing price. Free car parking in a plot next to the hotel. We've stayed here before and will do so again."

"We were right on the main plaza (plaza mayor), in the heart of this medieval town, just outside of the walled city, so the location was great. There is No Reception, as is stressed in the property description, so they want you to arrive at a specific time. We did not, but a woman did hear me and came out and gave us our keys. One important thing to note is that as it is an old building, there is NO elevator. For older folks who might have difficulty hauling suitcases up two flights of stairs, this was a problem. Once we were in our room, everything was fine. Window onto the Plaza, very comfortable bed and pillows, water pressure and temperature fine. When we left, the friendly man who cleans the rooms carried our suitcases down the stairs. Overall, the accommodations for two nights were just fine. "
