"The lodge was superb, very helpful and friendly staff all round. They were very flexible with meals for our children (5 & 8 years). All staff I spoke to were really knowledgeable about the local plants and animals but special shout out to Yuri who led our multiple excursions. Only small suggestion for improvement would be to have a small selection of snacks available to purchase, chips, nuts, chocolate etc for between meals but otherwise the meals themselves were delicious. "10 min taxi to main town for meals. Hotel restaurant vegetarian only and requires booking for dinner. No air conditioner as it is an EcoVillage, be warned, it is hot and sticky in the Amazon. Pool was excellent. Monkeys and sloths in the trees on property. "

"A small seven unit property and we were the only ones there on the first night. I don’t know if it was the end of the season, but we had a limited hours of electricity, Wi-Fi, and schedule of meals. Dinner was at 8 PM and we were pretty hungry by then. It was hot in the late morning, and there was no electricity to turn on the fan. The buildings are outdated, and some need of repairs . "This hotel lists their location as downtown Puerto Maldonado. Actual location is 20+ minutes outside the town on a dirt road. Impossible to get taxi service to town. The additional trips for food for our Amazon excursions cost 60 soles each way. Driver said price is higher since you have long trip just to pickup client. Resort wanted to charge me for Dinner and Breakfast when my reservation stated both were included. Staff at resort were nice and understood our frustration with situation. When...
