"Location excellent and good value. Check in reception quick and easy. All staff I came into contact with were professional, friendly and helpful. Only downside was the breakfast offering and my impression was that it was all geared to simplicity for the hotel. I guess I’m not keen on the DIY approach but can understand the reasoning behind it so it’s not a dealbreaker for me. Just thought I’d mention it. Oh, coffee was good. Would definitely stay again. "

"I was very excited to see which art room I'd get and I wasn't disappointed. It has a brief on the artist and insight into the artwork. The room was a little small but perfect for me, it had all necessities and the area is perfect with restaurants and transport nearby. Only minor issue was the bathroom's extractor was very loud and I had to disconnect the electricity for it to stop. Otherwise, it was excellent. I'd stay here again."

"The rooms were basic but comfortable. Instant hot beverages were supplied. Towels were clean and fluffy. The air-conditioning and TV worked. The grounds are lovely. The staff were very friendly and a lovely young woman helped me get my overnight bag up to my room because I it would've been difficult for me. However, no breakfast was available during the week. "The Paxton Cottages are beautiful olde world accommodation and they are truly lovely with every amenity you could want. Beds linen comfort A1. We are a group of 3 aged from 86 down to 77. We arrived in Burra around 10am and had a drive around town. We then popped into the cottages to see, on the off chance we could get an early check in as some accommodation is apt to do but NO. "I had a wonderful stay. The hotel had everything I hoped for … clean, quiet room, great breakfast in an elegant dining room. I especially enjoyed the Reception Staff … warm, friendly and very helpful. But all the staff were kind and cheerful and ready to assist with any request. The location is perfect, close to restaurants , shopping and the CBD … but still quiet and close to nearby parks and leafy streets. Thanks to all!"
