"Perfectly fine for a budget hotel, on an industrial estate off the ring road. It's clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful. The pool was a definate bonus on a hot day and for a pre breakfast swim. So long as you're not looking for rustic, romantic, french charm, then it's a good place for a stop over on a long journey."
"The friendly staff were so helpful and made me feel very welcome during my staff. The lift was out of order and the woman offered to help with my luggage and they were able to arrange a taxi for me in the morning.
My room was spacious and modern. It benefitted from a small balcony to sit out on. The breakfast selection was good and a great selection of cheese, fruit and traditional baguettes.
A short stroll from the hotel takes to to the old town and the train station is close by."
"Le personnel est serviable et sympathique, les prestations convenables. On m'a remboursé un petit-déjeuner réservé par moi en excès. Les informations sur les trajets en bus depuis la gare étaient erronnées. Il y a un Buffalo grill et un Burger King proches. L'entretien à l'extérieur des pièces est imparfait. L'hôtel (plutôt motel) n'est pas abonné à Canal+."
"It was very convenient for sightseeing. There is a public parking lot across the street as well as street parking. We were there in late September and it was easy to find parking."
"Basic but clean room with air con.
On site shaded parking. Friendly staff and good amenities like a pool and lots and lots of games.
Good food and service at the Ludik restaurant.
Out of town so not ideal location."
"We wont be coming back here. It's very clean but in serious need of an upgrade. We had to fix the shower door and do some plumbing to get the shower to work. More of a 2 star than a 3 star. No ac. Slow Internet. Lots of towels and hot water. Never saw the staff after checkin."
"Hôtel Bien-Être Aux Cyprès de Marquay is a wonderful place to stay in the heart of the Périgord Noir. The hotel is situated in the beautiful and peaceful village of Marquay, surrounded by the magnificent countryside of the Périgord Noir. It is the perfect location for exploring the region while still offering a wonderfully calm and relaxing place to return to at the end of the day. The property is charming and full of character.
What made our stay truly special was Mario. He was incredibly...
"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was beautiful, large and very comfortable.
The location is a little far from town without a car. There is lots of free parking however. Breakfast was at a reasonable cost and excellent.
We had two dinners there and both were delicious."
"Logement propre avec des équipements anciens (plaques électriques ancienne génération ) et réfrigérateur assez petit pour un logement de 4 à 5 personnes .
Piscine très agréable.
Résidence située près d’un lac pour se baigner"
"Court séjour d’une nuit : la chambre était très propre, calme et confortable. Très bon accueil, merci beaucoup pour l’accompagnement de mon arrivée tardive."
"Wow… just wow. What an amazing and pleasantly surprising stay. Such a charming and welcoming place. Our family of four spent unfortunately only one night here during our vacation in the fascinating Dordogne, but absolutely love it.
This isn’t one of those polished corporate hotels, this was a small piece of France!
The host was very welcoming and pleasant. She spoke excellent English and made sure we never had to stumble with our very limited French.
We had the top-floor room with an open attic...
