"We stayed at the underground room. We expected the natural smell of living underground but not the fine flakes from the ceiling on our bed.
The restaurant had a selection of dishes from the regular pub foods to curries."
"Location is fantastic. Rooms were clean and tidy but recommend to include some basic cutlery in the rooms for those who are unable to eat at the restaurant.
Whilst the restaurant and bar was greatly appreciated, more people may utilise if some simple meals were also available as not everyone can eat rich or spicy foods. Also advertising that take-away is available may also increase sales."
"Shuttle to and from Airport and Museums was excellent.
But there was not acoustic barrier that could stop conversations and TV being heard in the room. One night we could not sleep, as next door persons have the TV ON all night."
"Nice and neat room to stay in, overall fairly tidy and the thick walls made for some nice peace and quiet.
Staff would come to do housekeeping (e.g. making the bed) but it would've been nice if they could've replaced our towels as we had nowhere to dry them sufficiently.
The bathroom was on the small side and had no fan to get rid of the condensation, so we had to open a window that lead to a random hallway behind all the rooms which did not have a privacy screen on it so not the most...
"The room was clean but the toilet was broken and needed putting back together, I’ve been here before and it’s showing its age now.
I didn’t receive a text message with a code for my room key, but luckily another traveller had a code and retrieved my key.
I rang the after hours number on the morning I left and was told the other person should not have accessed my key for me, maybe send the message like they are supposed to and it wouldn’t be an issue.
There are better places to stay in Coober...
"After I booked the room, I rang twice to check that the room was on the ground floor & both times not answered, so I left a written message with the booking & got no reply…….not a good start!
On entering the room it looked very tired, badly needs renovating.
No exhaust fan in the bathroom, the tap in the hand basin was so loose it nearly fell off when I turned it on. All the bottles in the shower were empty, no flannel/face washer, only 1 tiny bath towel for 2 people. The toilet was loose when...
"We were in room #7 and it’s a really good one to choose. It’s one of their bigger rooms and has a beautiful chesterfield couch in it. Parking was undercover in the shade, the room was spotless and the whole ‘vibe’ of the place was so relaxing. The managers, Mick & Erin, were the nicest people….so friendly and helpful. We loved chatting to them. We would highly recommend staying here!"
