"When we returned from a meal, a stool had been placed at the front door so we couldn't get in. The night porter got very angry and shouted at us for trying to get in. It was not our fault."
"Hôtel de qualité, le bémol est que normal qu'on paye le spa massages etc... mais j'avais pensé que l'accès a la piscine devait être possible avec la location de la chambre ?
Autre inconvénient, le restaurant toujours Complet. Tant mieux pour l'hôtel, mais comment faire réservation restaurant dès l'arrivée même pour un soir, si tout est déjà complet pour la semaine. J'avais 3 nuits sur place. A part ça, 👌"
"Reasonable priced hotel, that was clean and based in the centre of town by Market square. Short walk from town centre shops, where all the restaurants, bars are located.
So much choice for food & drink in town, and lots of nice clothes shops about.
Room was clean. Staff were friendly.
Breakfast was additional 16 Euro pp and adequate. Hot and cold food and lots of pastries.
Room size wasn't huge but ok for two people. Windows easy to open for fresh air.
Shower/bath was fine.
No onsite parking,...
"Easy to get to and get into the centre and beach. Parking is free and lots of it. A lift for easy access to rooms. We travelled as 2 adults and an 18 month old. They provided a cot in the room which was great and had lots of room in a double room with an extra single bed. The bathroom was clean and the shower was powerful and warm. We found the beds comfy. Safe in the room. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall, we would recommend and would stay again."
"Very helpful and friendly staff, who speak good English. Convenient location for town centre and beach. Only 25 minutes from LeShuttle. Good breakfast with lovely croissant from local boulangerie. Would be happy to stay here again."
"Ansprechendes Zimmer, gute Lage zu Park, Pool sauber und gepflegt, Personal hilfsbereit.
Running Gag: Zimmerkarte musste ständig neu freigeschaltet werden, ELan dito
Stets genügend Parkplätze.
Zimmermädchen umgänglich und verständig
Anlage ruhig, schöne Gegend"
"The room was immaculate, the staff was friendly and helpful, and we parked right outside the hotel entrance. All in all the perfect place to spend the night after the long drive from the South of France."
"Hotel du Golf is in a beautiful location very close to the autoroute and less than an hour's drive from the Channel Tunnel. Both dinner in the Golf Club House and breakfast in the main building were excellent. Our room was exactly what we needed for an overnight stay, with one exception ...... the pillows were hard and lumpy!
The staff are very friendly and helpful and we will certainly stay here again when travelling to or from France."
"Le personnel est accueillant.
Pas d’eau chaude sur un soir.
Le petit déjeuner manque de choix pour les personnes vegan. Pas de lait végétal, pas de margarine et pas de yaourt sans lait de vache."
"Had a lovely stay with my partner and nearly one year old baby.
Prior to arrival we had paid for parking and the "Baby kit". There was delayed communication about where to park, but it was resolved just in time before we reached Evancy. When we checked-in we immediately saw the "Baby kit" wasn't in the room so we had to go down to tell reception - luckily staff was on hand to sort it out quickly.
Once we settled in, the stay was great!
A note though, the Expedia listing for this property...
"Great hotel in a brilliant location. Lovely clean room, great for a family. Pool and big garden if you get there early in the day. Lovely restaurant for dinner and breakfast."
"Great location - easy to get to. No parking with the hotel, have to find it, but staff were helpful in directing us to the best spots. Rooms were compact so fine for a one night stay for us. No lifts, so not very accessible - but fine if you are young and fit. We didn’t have breakfast."
"This is a lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. The staff are both professional and friendly. The room we had was in the main building and was decorated in keeping with the building, clean lines and stylish. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious and we also had the breakfast buffet which was good quality and varied. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying here."
