Consequence of this is there is very little in the way of shops etc in the village"

"Right at the beach, the Orni appartments are clean, and a bit away from the crazy cities dotting the Costa Brava. The host is friendly, and the rooms were clean and nice. Air conditioning was working properly, which we very much appreciated because the environment can be pretty humid. The town has a very interesting fish auctioning market, from 4 pm onwards, and we had not seen that before. The washing machine must be paid 3 Euros, which we found odd. "The balcony is spacious and the view superb. The apartment had everything we needed but the bathroom, particularly the shower, needs maintenance. A dead cockroach on it's back was by my bed when I got there. I did wonder if it had fallen off the bedside table which wasn't a pleasant thought at night. The WIFI stopped after day 1 which was inconvenient. We never met a representative for the apartment during our stay & although I contacted the manager via Whatsapp, it was never resolved. "
