"The view from the room over Lake Toya was superb. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff were polite and helpful. Parking is outside the door. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there is a good dining area with a microwave. We would recommend bringing supplies with you - the nearest restautant is a 15 minute drive."

"This seasoned hotel turned out very satisfying to me. Though at one end of the beach park, it boasts a great view, with access to spacious beach front. Just as the picture of its exterior onsen spa shows, you can see the mountain at the far end of the lake. "A hotel with decent value for money!"

"Nice place. The owners are great. Super nice. Super helpful. The surly young staff are unprofessional and need an attitude adjustment. Overall though, very good."

"We very much enjoyed our stay at Chalet Ivy. The room was a good size and the drying cupboards were very welcome as they helped to dry out ski jackets etc. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety of choices. Staff were helpful and polite. The ski concierge and hire service was also very useful. Prices for ski hire were competitive except for helmets which were a lot cheaper to hire elsewhere eg Rhythm"
