"It is conveniently located close to a supplier, the room was clean and of a decent size. The bathroom had all what was needed. Pretty German countryside location, not many means of transport available if you don't drive. The restaurant is good."

What a fabulous experience...a delicious, fresh breakfast was included with a table set for each guest...the restaurant for dinner was amazing and reasonable, the rooms were comfortable and quiet. There is a giant cobblestone hill to climb so be in good shape and the tv didn't really work but we didn't come to watch tv...also Kronach is very lovely. "

"Comfortable small hotel and good breakfast. Helpful staff, but not v knowledgeable about local buses to the splendid Vierzenheiligen church. When were there in April, there was weekday bus (Kaiser Reisen service 1212) 10.49am from the station to the Church main carpark, return bus 15.38pm. Tickets from the station. The hotel reception is not manned 24/7, so they appreciate confirmation of arrival time. "

"We loved the location of the Hocher Hotel. Checkin is 1:00 and since it is an automated machine it is helpful to wait to arrive at this time or after and checkin would be easy. It is such a wonderful city to visit, sightsee, have incredible German food, walk around and enjoy! The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The owner Mike is a very gracious host of this small hotel. "Das Hotel ist richtig in die Jahre gekommen. Hätte man inwestuert und renoviert wäre es richt gut, das Personal sehr unfreundlich, preisleistung Verhältniss passt nicht, nur das Frühstück war für den ausgewiesenen Preis ok. Wenn sich es lässt werde ich dieses Hotel meiden. Zimmer Reinigung soll alle zwei Tage stattfinden, wir haben zwei Nächte dort geschlafen und es würde nicht aufgeräumt "

"Staying in Bad Steben was a highlight of our trip to Germany. There were 7 of us in 3 rooms - 3 generations and the Villa suited us all exceedingly well. Christina went above and beyond to host us and help us with sightseeing ideas. We spent a day at the thermal spa, another day visiting Bamberg and after we checked out we visited the Museum in Mödlareuth - excellent outdoor and indoor tribute to life behind the Iron curtain. The breakfast was beautifully displayed and so delicious! Everything...
