"We booked two juniorJapanese Western suites for a family of 6. The suites were spacious, with a western bedroom with 2 beds and a Japanese room with futons. Each suite came with a spacious terrace. The bathrooms had nice big tubs plus shower. The kitchen was fully equipped. The washing machine was a big convenience. We would not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Hakodate."

"It’s a old ryokan passed it prime time. It’s basically not bad, but is old and run down. Maybe the Covid period made it worse as the condition of the ryokan deteriorated further without upgrades. Service is good. Far away from city center but there’s shuttle bus."

"The hotel is a bit older but still well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. What is definitely worth going there is the all-you-can-eat-dinner!! The quality of seafood to eat is just very hard to beat. All the sushi 🍣, sashimi 🍱 and other options available are just mouthwatering and of superb quality! The onsen bath (hot spring) is nicely equipped and spacious."

"Initially I wanted to go for a trip by car but I was too late to get both the air ticket and the rental car reservation as I wanted. So I went for a city trip to Hakodate on foot and by public transport. This is very well possible by the famous tramway and buses too. "

"Absolutely loved my stay here. Allowed me to leave bags before check in. Attention to detail like wiping my suitcase wheels before taking onto tatami was amazing. Welcome tea and room/meal plans were so cute and loved the lady who served tea. Convenient shop and vending machine. Front desk was super helpful, including the young gentlemen who helped me double check my yukata was on correctly! Speaking of which also love the coat that came with the yukata. "When booking, no choice for smoking or nonsmoking, so I assumed default as nonsmoking. When arrived, I realized that all are smoking. Front desk staff do not speak even simply English. Difficult to communicate with Hotel staff. Carpet in elevator must haven’t been shampooed for attended time - the dirtiest one I personally experienced in Japan.
