"Fantastic location - right on the beach. Hotel provides beach towels, Umbrellas and sometimes beach chairs (first come first serve). Easy walking distance to other beaches, to the port town and to bus stops. This hotel does not have a pool. Breakfast is simple and good. Front desk staff are very helpful- they have arranged many taxi pick ups for us during our stay. Bathrooms need improving however. The shower situation is an interesting set up as water gets everywhere. One day our housekeeping...
"We enjoyed the pool and breakfast! Staff were amazing! Views from the hotel were unbeatable! Only “complaint” was the soundproofing wasn’t ideal, it was very noisy at night and could hear people in the hallway/closing their doors. If you’re a sound sleeper this won’t be a concern."
"Great location and convenient to all restaurants and bars and beach. The only negatives for us were the bed was extremely firm and the hot water was closer to lukewarm."
"The staff (Poppy) was very helpful with tips on getting around Naxos. From the hotel it was a 15 minute walk to the port. Easy to walk to shopping / restaurants. We also enjoyed the pool. Nice breakfast buffet; the ladies did a great job !"
"I rated it poorly for really its location and all the steps with luggage was too much. Breakfast was ok but the doors opened only at 8 not a minute sooner. Only 1 resto next to hotel the rest were further. It has potential if it would offer dinner with its spectacular views but I guess it would hurt restaurant business next door. Room is clean staff is nice. The view from our room was best feature!"
"It's bang next to the Acropolis station and great eating places around. You could walk over to the Acropolis from the place. Be attentive to the instructions as it is a self check-in place and also you will need wifi or esim service to access the details- unless you download the details in advance. The place is amazing."
"We recently had a short stay at Summer Shades Hotel. Having read some mixed reviews beforehand, we wanted to share our perspective, as we found the hotel to be a genuinely lovely experience, especially considering the very reasonable price point.
We stayed in a spacious, clean room at the back of the property overlooking the pool. It was beautifully quiet and peaceful (though we can't speak to the noise levels of the front-facing rooms nearer the road).
The facilities were exactly what we...
"The location was perfect, very close to the main square and right on the beach. The servers and staff were so kind and hospitable. Concierge was very sweet but wasn’t able to answer many questions."
"This us a little gem of a hotel!! The rooms are very large, very comfortable and very modern. The breakfast was outstanding with so much choice even the pickiest eater was in heaven!!"
"Our stay was fantastic and the staff were lovely. The room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast buffet was a highlight of the stay. It’s also located a stone’s throw away from the beach. Would stay here again if I were to come back."
