"Chakra cottage had aesthetic interiors and very spacious even for a couple with small kids. Seeing sunrise in the lake from the portico was wonderful. Staff were really courteous and friendly. Spa was great too. Overall it was a lovely peaceful experience just an hour drive from Thiruvananthapuram.
"
"Very disappointing stay. The rooms were nothing like the photos shown online. The windows had steel grills, which made the space feel more like a jail cell than a comfortable room. Overall, a very bad experience."
"Room was ok. Please consider adding a protective net or shielding for balcony due to Dove waste falling in ac fan. It can be a health hazard. Food was great."
"Everything has an old look in the cottage - the view was good but everything from the aircon to fittings were really old and worn out. Getting a Uber from the hotel is a real challenge as there are regular taxi drivers who charge triple the rate waiting at the entrance to turn away our booking. Really frustrating when the hotel can’t help us with this matter."
"De locatie voor bezienswaardigheden is heel goed. Hotel is zeer gedateerd, oud en smerig.
Hygiënisch is het ook heel slecht. In badkamer hing aanhoudend riolering lucht.
"We spent a wonderful 5 days here in November. Great location among the trees. Woken to birdsong. Staff really helpful and friendly. Star man is the chef Thomas (Thomas Cook as he told us), who served us some brilliant meals.
Tip: it’s worth getting a single cottage for the peace and the view "
"Below expectations! Disappointing. Renu down property.
The cottages were not very well kept. Lot of wear and tear - broken cloth hangers, broken kettle, leaking wash basin etc.
silver lining - the ala carte meals were tasty though not much selection in the menu. Buffet was bad!
Quite inside from the main area. So no choice except to manage within the property only. However, transport desk efficient. Cabs reasonable. Didn’t take pics. "
"The staff were amazing and very helpful, but the property itself is quite old and needs better maintenance. The bathroom doors could not be locked, which was inconvenient.
Another major issue was the hot water. We had to waste nearly 15 buckets of water before getting heated water, which is unacceptable.
They also mentioned that complimentary breakfast was included, but the food was brought from outside and the portion was very limited—just 2 idlis and 1 dosa.
Overall, the staff were...
"This is the Only fantastic property within 100m of the waterfalls... Very calm and beautiful waterfalls view.. Inhouse swimming pool also clean and neat... Self parking is good... "
