"The Asian man who worked the reception desk was very accommodating and helpful. The heat was not working properly in my room and he took care of the problem immediately. The man who fixed the heater and cleaned the rooms was very courteous. This hotel is an older hotel but I appreciated that is was small and quiet. I would stay here again! "

A kitchen facility that is never leaned, garage from previous client in the room, bathroom, closet, in 4 days and nights no towel change, only one spoon, one fork, one plate kitchen. towels missed replacing. "We stayed at the Hotel for two nights. Staff was not availabel after 6pm. Had to call to get a code to retrieve the room key on Sunday night!! Hotel was quiet and clean…staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good with a nice variety! One caveat … Property has no elevator! We came from the United States and had to drag our large luggage to the first floor!! We made it but need to be considered for elderly guests. Overall very good hotel to stay. Definitely would stay there again!!!"

This is a no frills hotel. You get what you pay for. Nothing fancy. And that is okay!! These hotels rooms are basic not for hanging out in all day. There are lots of things to do around the hotel so go explore!! Hotel am zoo is in a very convenient location. Close to coffee shops and bakeries and a good diverse selection of restaurants. Also, Our hotel room was clean and simply put together, it feels very safe here. Also the train station is just steps away from the hotel. The staff at the front desk are very kind and courteous. They were extremely helpful to me when I was trying to figure out the train system and by a ticket to Aachen. I butchered many German words (my pronunciation is horrible) but they were very patient with me and figured out what I needed. If you are looking for just a place to stay so you can explore the city then Hotel am zoo is a great option. Definitely recommend for the traveler needing a no frills but affordable, safe, quiet and clean place. 🤗"
