"There was a bit of a hiccup with our checkin, since they had no record of us having already paid. It was eventually straightened out, then they realized that we had overpaid and refunded our credit card. All was well. The room was comfortable, clean and had ample space. There does seem to be noise that carries through the walls and halls, but since we travel with earplugs, it was no problem. Bonus was the bidet in the bathroom."

"The one thing we found that was slightly off-putting was that the photos on-line are designed to make the hotel look new, modern and spacious, when in fact it's a beautifully restored older building with smaller bedrooms, tiny elevators, and lovely winding staircases. There's enough modern hotels go around. Please brag about this lovely unique hotel on the waterfront of the Aussen-Alster See."

"We stayed for one night on our way to Copenhagen. The property is well managed, elevator is a bit small but working as it's supposed to be, room and bathroom are clean. Mattres is in a good condition. Our room was facing the opposite of the Hbf and it was nice and quiet in the evening."

"I had booked this hotel because it was close to the train station - I came in by train and was due to leave by train the next morning. I was a little apprehensive after reading all of the negative reviews, but I was pleased overall with my stay here. The hotel offers the basic amenities for a comfortable night's stay: comfortable bed, cleaning bedding, nice pillow, blackout curtains, a television (I did not turn mine on so I cannot comment on the channels), a hot shower, a modern toilet, bath...

I have never had a hotel room that has no fridge, no kettle, no coffee/teas, no water; this room had nothing however they let me get hot water in the breakfast area whenever I wanted. "The place was perfect for a small family. We used this as a final stop before leaving Germany, as it was close to the airport. It was clean, and they had REAL AC, which helped get a proper sleep. Something that we didn't get too much during our Euro trip. 5/5 all and all. "
