"The staff was great. The hotel is very nice and up to date. The breakfast was plentiful Unfortunately they've had a lot of rain and we had a small colony of ants in the bathroom. Also the pillows were very hard, which u think is an Italian thing as we experienced that in every hotel we stayed in. This is a great location for staying prior to flying out of MXP as it is literally 5 minutes to T1 and car rental returns. We have stayed here often over the years."

"The hotel is old. I would grade it as a 2 star hotel. The cost/benefit is very low. For such a cost we got much better accomodations. I don’t recommend this hotel. The 8.6 rate, it not true. It should be about 7. I made my decision based on 8.6 and I am very disappointed from Hotel.com giving it a wrong rating of 8.6. "

"Ibis suited our purpose. Hotel is clean and staff is nice. However, every day our card deactivated and had to get recoded. And the hairdryer doesn’t work for more than 1-2 minutes at a time. These are minor issues. Pluses are good nearby pizza, shuttle bus to/from airport ($5) to catch train into Milan and a decent breakfast buffet. Thank you for our stay!"

"Everything was absolutely fine, staff working there seems like they don’t enjoy it at all. A little bit of smile would change it a lot. For breakfast you better be there early as they don’t seem to refill what has gone. In general good with little improvement needed "

"Loved the property and the friendly staff. Our room looked like it was just redone. It was a very simple room with no art on the walls so it seemed pretty stark. Enjoyed the 5th story rooftop patio. Breakfast was good with lots of options to please everyone. "

"We had a five night stay at the Lido La Perla having planned to spend some time on Lake Maggiore during our month holiday. It is a very nice hotel, well located near the lake foreshore with excellent access to the boating transport needed to visit the many sights on the lake. The hotel staff were very caring, the breakfast was vast and very fresh food, the room was well serviced with clean towels and linen each day and the bathroom was very good although having to step into the bath to shower is...

"Very nice staff in fairly nice hotel but for the price it’s fantastic. It’s near the train station and a lot of people hanging around and church bells ringing in the morning but the beds comfortable although showers and bathrooms are quite small."
