"We did the Tateyama Alpine Route from Toyama and decided to stay in Omachi. To get to Omachi there is a bus you can catch after getting off the tunnel electric bus in Ogizawa. We were pleasantly surprised with our room located on the top floor and had our own balcony. We stayed in a traditional Japaneses room which had its own toilet and bathroom. "the man running the place is just lovely. he spoke the best english of anyone we met while in japan for two weeks and was super friendly. every morning the breakfast was a little different, he drove us to the bus station at the end of our trip, and he was always available for questions and advice. the private onsen (hot tub) was excellent after a day on the slopes and all in all it had a more bed and breakfast vibe. it’s a 10 minute walk to echoland (restaurants) and a 20 minute bus ride to...

Room was very spacious and was a lot bigger than we were expecting! Highlight was the outdoor Onsen. Would highly recommend - staff spoke good English and very friendly. "
