Home2 Suites by Hilton Columbus
8/10 Good
"We paid a LOT to stay in this hotel because I needed a full fridge. Because of the price, I assumed the hotel would be fabulous. It was not. The pros were that the queen beds were comfortable, there was an excessive amount of storage, & it had a good size fridge & kitchenette area. But, the bathroom did not really even have a secure door on it. It had a barn door of sorts with a massive gap so that anyone outside the bathroom could stare right into the bathroom. So the bathroom was basically wide open to the rest of the room & there was no air vent in the bathroom which means there was absolutely zero privacy. This was definitely a problem & massive flaw in the design. It did not work well for traveling with a family. I also don’t believe the hotel was built well. The people in the room next to us sounded like they were having a party with about 20 people in attendance. We could very clearly hear them talking and yelling. I was sitting on my bed against the headboard. I was literally being shaken because the people in the other room were SO loud and banging into things that our walls were shaking (over and over for a couple hours). If someone slammed a door, everything would shake. Also, the noise from the road was very loud. Finally, the smoke detector was directly across from my bed & every seven seconds it would flash an incredibly bright light which was visible (& startling) with my eyes closed. For the money we paid, these things should not have happened."
