The area is the star, a beautiful part of the world with the Mighty Rhine the star of the show. Also the pool and sauna are lovely. "We arrived about 9:00 pm. There was no any receptionist or room service or maintenance people. Checked in with computer and took the key. No hot water at all. Ice cold water. No people to call. Room was extremely hot. 27 Celsius. There is no AC. We opened the windows. Humidity a lot. Terrible smell of the swamp. Couldn't sleep at all till morning. Still no hot water. When we told to receptionist at 8:00 am about hot water. She said "I will tell them". Ugly people, terrible hotel. David"

"Well I knew that I needed to keep my expectations lower due to the fact that this hotel is in a small village and the buildings are very old. We had the most basic room and it was VERY small. The bathroom could not be any smaller unless you have a cabin on a cruise ship. It was warm the week we were there and there is no air conditioning and the room was stuffy. Since the hotel has a pool in the basement, one of the reasons I chose this place, that was our saving grace to stay cool. The exercise...

"We had two single rooms and those were one of the best designs I have ever stayed it. Every inch of space was thought through and made the rooms extremely comfortable. To top it, they had a small balcony with a great view of the Rhein."

"Absolute gem of a place. Great rooms, wonderful breakfast and a real home from home feel. Off the beaten path but well worth looking into especially if you’re planning on visiting the Phantasia theme park, a 9 minute drive away."

"The people here are great, the rooms have been updated and are clean and well maintained. We really loved how close it was to where we needed to be, and the views from the rooms were gorgeous in the springtime. But the best part was the people - so friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was very nice as well. We all enjoyed our stay here; it was one of the best parts of the trip. This would be a lovely place to hold events as well and there is good parking. Hopefully we will able to stay here...
