"Wing International Izumi is a simple Japanese-style hotel directly across a small plaza from the Izumi train station. The rooms are simple, but larger than most Japanese hotel rooms, and the breakfast is excellent. There is a good restaurant on the premises. My wife and I stayed here when visiting the famous Crane Observatory in the outskirts of Izumi. Our only complaint is that the rooms are only cleaned every third day, but that is getting to be a common practice now."

"The building and the room are clean and fine, but the location was far enough from the airport that you would absolutely need a taxi to get to the airport. However, you’re supposed to make a taxi RSVP at least 48 hours before the date you need it. Local taxis are usually fully booked by early RSVPs, and wont be able to come pick you up like you would expect. "Good base for exploring area. Rooms are huge with great views. Kaseki dining in-room was excellent. Large indoor and small outdoor onsen provided variety. Helpful staff given we were probably the only non-Japanese staying there."
