Fantastic place to stay and the food was great!

Perfect for a one-night stay. Staff were very friendly, the room was spacious and very clean. The shower was great and the bathroom was spotless. Best part was the included breakfast - lots of choice and good quality. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!

The room was very clean. We stayed 2 nights and they cleaned our room after our 1st morning, refreshing the towels and coffee, plus cleaning the bathroom etc. It was a windy and stormy time outside which meant muddy boots but the staff made sure all the stairs and hallways to our room were freshly cleaned. Great location. Near shops, restaurants, and a walk along the Thames. We appreciated our stay.

Great

Clean room, friendly staff, very good breakfast. Easy parking.

The staff her could not be more welcoming and come across as genuinely invested in your stay. The place can get a bit overwhelmed when a large event like the wedding fills bar and breakfast to the brim, but relaxed attitude and willingness to take it in stride get you a long way to not minding. There are inevitably some compromises to make when staying in an old property - and when I say old, I don’t mean 1970s and tired, but rather 12th century and historic. Again, adjust expectations and...

This place is cozy, comfortable and clean. The owners are friendly and very responsive. We had a great stay here. It had everything we could need and more. The breakfast supplied was great as well.

9 Rooms above a pub! What more can you ask for. Great food and drink and the staff is outstanding!

The location was perfect! The fact there was AC during a heatwave was an added bonus. Definitely upgrade to the breakfast buffet: well worth it!

We would stay again lovely hotel

Perfect

The staff make this old pub a unique experience: from check in, breakfast and the late check out offered by the room-cleaner, everyone treats visitors as special guests.

Great room! Very different staying above a bar/ restaurant but it was great!! Could not hear anything! The only problem was parking and bringing your luggage up two fights of stairs.

Great stay lovely staff! Especially Chris who runs the breakfast. He is so hospitable and welcoming! Truly he must change people’s day experience just by interacting with us. Perfect walkability and a really great hotel to stay in.

Always an exceptional stay. The sleeping rooms are clean with comfortable beds and well appointed. The restaurant food is very good with friendly service.
