"What a divine place to stay while in ethereal Meteora! Its near the outskirts of Kastraki, but that means the views are stunning. Doupiani House is within walking distance of the monastery of Agios Nikolaos, and it's an easy 10 min walk into the center of the village. "We booked the hotel and paid for everything. When we arrived at the hotel, it looked deserted with all doors shut, all lights off. We tried to ring the door bell without any response. Then we tried to call the hotel without an answer. Finally, we had to find another hotel nearby. There was no communication whatsoever prior to our arrival at the hotel about its temporary closure."
