"The owner that checked us in was a really friendly nice man. He even helped us with getting our luggage to our room. The room was small, but neat and clean. There is a free breakfast included but we had to leave in the morning before it opened. Area was quiet. Only 20 minutes to the airport. For the price it was great value."

For example, at dinner they ran out of meat pies. They pointed me to the grocery store across the street. I returned with 2. They heated them and served them on china plates. Perfect solution.

"I’m not sure if there is a newer section of this hotel where people stayed that gave positive reviews, but our room was as bad as it gets. The carpeting was torn, the bathroom wall had a floor to ceiling crack, the floor was slanted and flooring loose. I thought we may fall through to the restaurant below. Didn’t dare take a shower based on condition. The pillows were flat and the mattress was lumpy. I do not recommend! The only thing good about our stay was the nice gentleman behind the bar."
"The bedroom furniture was very old, tired and dressing table was sticky. Lampshades dull and falling apart. Holes in the curtains. Magnolia woodchip wallpaper and threadbare carpet.
The bed was listed as a double but was more like a queen bed.
Bathroom had peach 1960s tiles. A bath with a shower curtain and a trickle of water.
Evening meal in the hotel (fish and chips plus pizza) was inedible. Fish was a frozen, overcooked triangle, frozen chips and expensive. Handed it back and asked then to...
"We loved this hotel, so beautiful! The rooms were great and beds very comfortable. We loved that our rooms had doors right out to the back garden, which was fantastic. Food and service were phenomenal ! I would definitely recommend this location."
"Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Rooms are clean and to a high quality. Excellent shower and well glazed windows so we didn’t hear cars during the night. Staff very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed the breakfast with plenty of gluten free options and the dinners we had were lovely also.
Make sure to visit scone palace nearby. Would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay again."
"Really friendly, cheerful and helpful staff. Good atmosphere. Large old building, our room was recently updated and was modernised nicely and spotlessly clean. It was very big but still warm with very large comfy bed and powerful shower. TV & Kettle in the room with normal sachets of tea/coffee etc Good breakfast offering kept warm and you could ask for GF bread, cereal and freshly made scrambled eggs. Nice coffee too.
