"This hotel was right in the main square, which was nice, and it was the only one of 5 that we stayed in on this trip that included breakfast, which was very nice, but the room felt dated. I mean, the town IS from the 13th century, so gees, what can I expect, but I expected the room to be a little nicer. I have a feeling we got a lesser room because we booked through Expedia, because I saw a few other rooms in my brother's travel group who booked directly with the hotel and theirs were much...
"Great Family run hotel with friendly staff.
Perfectly located to explore Tuscany.. we visited Sienna, Certaldo, Volterra, Sam Gimignano and Livorno on the coast.
There is a walkable (5mins) winery called Il Colombaio which I would highly recommended.
The breakfast buffet was fabulous."
"Beautiful hotel. Spacious room. Comfortable. Large shower. Breakfast provided. Helpful and friendly staff. Close to entrance to town parking making it easy to transport your bags to the hotel. Top favorite stay on our recent trip to Italy. Would recommend. Also gorgeous view from room and from the dining room."
"Pros:
Location
Cleanness
Good and friendly staff
Cons:
Low quality mattress. Did not feel relaxed laying on that mattress after long walks.
Shower's hot water was warm 14 seconds then cold for 9 second and warm 14 seconds and so on."
"The property is in a great location and the rooms are excellent. Staff is always friendly and helpful. This is our second time staying here and both experiences were wonderful."
"Es war wieder eine Freude bei Luca und seiner Familie im Hotel zu wohnen. Luca hat immer hilfreiche Tipps und das Frühstück ist super. Immer gute regionale Produkte, selbst gebackenes Brot und Kuchen. Auch die warmen Kleinigkeiten sind super lecker.
Sollten wir wieder nach Volterra kommen dann immer wieder in die Villa Rioddi"
"Spotlessly clean. Bright and spacious room and public areas. Reception exceptionally helpful. One of our best breakfasts ever. Amazing central location. Can't wait to come back."
