"The hotel is a little way from the town centre but is walkable. there is a local tram service directly in front of the hotel for moving around the town. It is a modern hotel with efficient self check-in, clean rooms with nice touch like the free bottle of water included and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would I stay here again for my business trip, yes I really would."

"We stayed in the family apartment. The bedroom was clean, spacious and comfortable. The main room was extremely spacious even with the sofa bed made up. The kitchen was well catered with a fridge and hob and any kit we needed to cater for ourselves. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional. Hot food, cereals, fruit & pastries etc. along with a wide selection of teas and coffees. Will most definitely stay here again!"

"Property and rooms were older looking. The lounge was unstaffed and did not appear functional. Rooms were large. Breakfast looked good, with one guy making eggs but no one was there. "

"A very nice place to stay in a new part of Aplerbeck. We loved the perfect breakfast buffet. Every detail was considered! Amazing. I love the electric water kettle & porcelain mugs for tea or coffee making in the rooms! Wonderful, better than a coffee maker, which leaves us tea drinkers with a terrible taste. "The property is at a unique location; historical and beautiful surrounding lake area behind the hotel. The staff are very curious and professional."

"Very nice hotel, central to the Messe and Ruttenschied which in Essen is very important. It was clean, comfortable with a friendly and helpful staff. Parking can be challenging in the area, but the hotel has its own parking as well. This is the first time I have stayed but will be looking to it as my first choice from now on as I need to visit the city."
