"I stayed on the 2D floor and had to carry my heavy suitcase up the stairs, not fun. They need a elevator. The salad I had for dinner was great, the rest was so so."

Carpet was extremely dirty in some spots & there was a pervasive odor throughout the room-not certain if smoke or mildew-maybe both. "Het decor is idd vintage, dus wordt alweer hip. Maar het matras biedt prima slaapcomfort, er is een heerlijke douche, geluidisolatie en klimaatbeheersing perfect. En als klap op de vuurpijl een geweldig gastronimische dagschotel en ontbijt waar niks ontbreekt. Het personeel stelt alles in het werk. En dat allemaal voor een habbekrats! "

"Check in wasn't great - took 3 room changes to get the book ed twin room instead of a double. Restaurant was very good - good food with quick service. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Sadly our stay was spoiled by another hotel guest shouting and singing at 2am for about an hour. Eventually someone came to deal with it but our night's sleep was ruined. Also there were smokers in the non-smoking rooms which we could smell. "

The hotel itself is charming, and I have to say that the breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had on our trip. Also, the hotel is within easy walking distance of everything you want or need to see while visiting Besancon. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to feel welcomed in Besancon. "
