"We stayed at Hotel Villa Jantò for five days in October. The views are breathtaking, the rooftop and outdoor pool areas are lovely, and there was a small, heated indoor pool. The free hotel shuttle to nearby towns and the beach is convenient, since the hotel sits atop a steep hill and taxis are surprisingly expensive. The room, however, was a letdown. It felt painfully plain, with white walls and nearly zero decoration—odd for a hotel that otherwise tries to look somewhat bohemian and stylish....

"We selected Samiramis as a bit of a splurge to recover from the marathon travel day from San Francisco. The staff were very helpful with arranging the airport transfer and early check in. While spacious enough and clean, the rooms were not necessarily aligned with the room rates. Some aspects were excellent and recently renovated, while others were a little tired. For the rate we paid it was a little disappointing. The rest of the facility had some excellent features and were certainly on-point...
