Upon check out he went through the room and found an empty soda bottle and a white croc sandal under the bed, neither of which were the guests, but took $50 from the cash held for the room because garbage was left. The room was $210 per night, I would expect this to include cleaning the room and removing garbage. He was handing out garbage bag to other guest making them clean their own rooms before leaving. "We stayed 2 nights, older hotel, good location There were a few insects in the room and bathroom The tub itself did not appear to have been actually cleaned in several months, it was a soaker tub, but I didn't even want to step in so no way would I use it as a bathtub The attached bar Uncle's was lively and interesting clientele"

"Positives: -Outside grounds and lanes appeared well maintained. Negatives: -Unit had dim lighting. - air conditioning unit dripped water on daughter’s bed. When I moved the bed away from under the a/c unit, there were a number of dead bugs under the bed, and my daughter wouldn’t see there. -bathroom was very sparse, and the shower stall had been poorly maintained. -bedding was old and well worn. -staff was nonexistent -"

"THE " Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge " was just such a refreshing place to stay at minimal cost. The staff at reception "LESLIE AND PAGE were so helpful and refreshingly honest in their attitude towards customers and their respective jobs. The cleaning and room preparation was excellent and the cleaning staff were most obliging in providing extra service if there was a requirement.. such as sugar, tea, milk, blankets etc. Kudos to the groundsmen for their efforts to keep all clean and tidy."
