The on-site restaurant’s prices are steep, though the included breakfast was exceptional and a highlight of the stay. The room was clean, but the hot tub was disappointingly dirty and unusable. Would stay again."

"Self check-in instructions were communicated in advance and easy to follow. Rooms were basic, but very clean and adequate for our needs. It was nice to have access to the kitchen and laundry. WiFi worked well. There is an easy but somewhat steep hike to a lovely waterfall right behind the property. Our only "complaint" was that the cruise ship port was directly across the street. Instead of being able to listen to sounds of nature like birds and rain, we heard the ship running all night and the captain's announcements in the morning. It's just a minor complaint and the Guesthouse has no control over it, but I feel it's worth mentioning. Obviously it wouldn't be an issue on days when there's no ship in the port."

"We had a really great experience here and the best mattresses we've found by far. This is the 5th night in Iceland for us and the previous 4 hotels the mattresses were not good at all. This hotel was lovely in every respect. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast they offered was probably the nicest one I've ever had - anywhere. Good water, good tv, good location, nice hotel :-)"
