"I booked a room described as a 'Double or twin room with sea view'. In the notes of the booking, I requested twin beds but I was allocated a double room. The man serving me - older gentleman, white hair - would have struggled to care less. No apology, he just blamed Expedia and gave us a room with no view, which wasn't how we wanted to end our trip. There are signs everywhere telling guests what all the rules are. The hotel feels like an old people's home rather than a holiday destination. ...

"Tricia was so lovely and accomodating! The place is perfect and spotless. Tricia recommended the Quiraing trail and it was easily the top 3 hikes we’ve done gobally! It’s also super close to the accommodation which makes it easy to get an early start. Would highly recommend a stay here for anything on Skye"

"There are many great things about the Cottage. Location close to Portree is at the top of the list. The interior was clean. Nice linens. Washer and dryer worked well, but it would have been nice to have a couple of laundry detergent pods to get started on a load after travel. This is NOT a place for a short term traveler. Unlike a hotel, which would have a coffee and tea service in the room, Pebble Cottage had nothing. So you arrive at 17:00 and are expected to go out shopping immediately. ...

"The house itself was wonderful-spacious, comfortable, and in a great location. It was easy to relax and felt like a great base for our trip. The beds and sheets were clean, and there were plenty of towels, which we appreciated. There were a few issues that took away from the experience. When we arrived, the heating wasn’t on and there were no instructions in the guest book, so we had to message the property manager to figure out how to turn it on. There was also no firewood provided....
