"Clean, convenient & close to downtown by walking."

"The building seems historical and is in good walking distance to all of the attractions in downtown. My only two gripes is finding which door leads to the front desk when entering and valet parking is very bad with wait times after requesting your vehicle can take up to 45min or more."

"I wish there were more dining options available after 8 p.m. Additionally, there should be 24/7 coffee and ice water service. It was also very much appreciated to have a smoking area in one of the property's most beautiful places. Apart from that, everything was nostalgic and wonderful."

"Great hotel for airport"

"Stayed at the Gunter for one night, there is no on site parking except for a valet service they offer for $50. Otherwise you must find your own parking. My room was out of conditioner and had very little shampoo. Staff was friendly. Had breakfast at the restaurant downstairs manager seemed overwhelmed but waiter was nice. Overal 3-4 stars."

"The restaurant was nice and the shuttle is convenient. Was NOT a fan of having a room overlooking the center of the building and not seeing the outside. Made the room very dark. "

"Parking around here was terrible with lots of homeless wandering around. Expected reality in a city, but the parking garages around there are not secure. Some guests had their car stolen from the garage the night I was there. Homeless lady approached my children while eating breakfast asking if they could fix her a waffle while in the hotel. Not exactly a safe area. Riverwalk is nice."

"After a long travel day, it was refreshing to walk into a beautiful hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful, patient, and attentive. The room was beautiful, cool, comfortable and clean. The mattress was not the best hotel mattress I have slept on but we slept well (the only small complaint). Probably the best hotel breakfast I have ever had!! My family enjoyed the breakfast. Didn’t want to miss! The evening happy hour was fabulous. Over all, very impressed. I would stay here again!!"
