"Nice hotel - nice staff and good service. However the room was very hot and with the windows open the traffic noise was continuous through out the night and early morning that made sleeping very difficult. If the room had been cooler I could have had the window closed it would have been fine."

"A very friendly and well kept hotel with a fantastic kitchen and some lovely wines, as you might expect from a hotel in the Mosel. We dined in on 2 nights out of three and had very well prepared local food. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. My only minor criticism is that their ability to deal with credit and debit cards was iffy. That said, we were able to settle our bill without having to resort to cash. "

Our room overlooked the road and a football field - not super gorgeous, but cool nonetheless. "Das Zimmer sehr sauber und geräumig, wer beim Frühstücksbuffet nicht satt oder zufrieden wird, ist selbst schuld. Alles positiv und viel Licht. Weniger schön war, trotz Ankunft am späten Nachmittag, Zimmer sehr kühl da Heizkörper nicht aufgedreht waren. Duschen bei der Temperatur nicht möglich. Und abends um 21 (!) Uhr kein restaurant- oder Barbetrieb mehr, und das auf Samstag am Wochenende. Der Schatten wäre mit ein Quentchen mehr Service leicht zu beheben, das Haus selbst hat Toplage und...

"We made a last minute reservation, looking forward to staying along the Mosel River, and were thoroughly pleased with this inexpensive, charming hotel. Our dinner in their dining room and the breakfast the next morning were excellent. The reception staff recommended that we explore the downtown area and the Bruckentor (old bridge gate), and especially the harrowing but rewarding trip up to the Ruine Grevenburg (castle ruins), and it was unforgettable. "The lady who checked us in would not let us use the elevator. Another lady came up to us as we started the stairs and said use the elevator. The check in clerk, older white lady, said no elevator. The other lady looked at her with shock when the clerk told her in German we are not to use the elevator. I have a hip,knee and shoulder replacement. This was a struggle and not nice of her. We found and used the elevator from then on The people in the morning on our check out were wonderful "
