"What a beautiful hotel and what lovely staff. Location was as described. Secure car parking for motorcycles. Excellent breakfast. Tea and coffee 24hours in the lobby. Very helpful attitude of everyone. Cleaners, receptionists, maintenance, etc."

Room was extremely hot. 27 Celsius. There is no AC. We opened the windows. Humidity a lot. Terrible smell of the swamp. Couldn't sleep at all till morning. Still no hot water. "It is a great location. The rooms are a little worn. My shower had problems with drainage. I asked the staff to fix it and nothing happened. I told them again when I checked out. She said she would have someone loo at it. I prepaid for my reservation on Orbitz but then they charged my credit card when I checked-out. I can't seem to get this resolved and it is very frustrating"

"For the facility provided, 120 USD is definitely overpriced. The toilet was not even flushed (seriously) when we checked in. Booked for two guests but only one set of towel, comforter, pillow, and cup were provided. Breakfast is free but you get the quality that is "free". Internet connection is a joke. Again, I understand if the hotel just wants to provide the basic services but 120 USD per night is a no-go."

"The hotel is a very old fashioned place, frozen in time. Rooms were clean but small and the bathrooms were very tight. However, the breakfast was very good and the city of Monschau is a must see, very picturesque little city, just lovely. Just a warning, everything closes early. "
