"The hotel is in a great location! The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The water in the shower did go hot/cold but it wasn’t too bad. I would highly recommend this hotel."
"I chose the Barabas Hotel for several reasons….price, location, breakfast included and good reviews….and was not disappointed. It fit our needs (which are simple…a clean and quiet room, comfortable bed and nice bathroom) and even exceeded expectations with towel service and room freshening each day. The front desk staff were both welcoming and full of good information. We did arrive early so took advantage of the luggage storage offered. The breakfast provided was more than sufficient and I’d...
"Very well located, clean and comfortable boutique style hotel in the center of Lucerne. Above all, staff was very professional, efficient, and friendly."
"The location of this hotel is perfect, close to the old part of town and right on the water. The staff were very friendly and food at the restaurant delicious! I would highly recommend this hotel!"
"Walking from the train station was quick and easy. It took about 10 minutes. The location was perfect for exploring old town and getting to the train station to leave for the airport. Checking in was very easy, someone was waiting for us by the front door when we arrived and gave us a tour and our key. We really enjoyed having a balcony.
The room itself is very bare bones and a little bit tattered in need of some updates. The balcony door would not stay closed and there was a leak in the...
"The room we rented was in the older part of the hotel and required climbing many flights of stairs to access. If you have accessibility issues this could be a problem as the listing indicates there is an elevator, but it is in the newer part. Having said that, the concierge was very helpful in changing our room.
The rooms are clean, the breakfast is okay. It is a short drive to old Lucerne. Enjoyed our stay here."
"We stayed 8 nights. The breakfast was amazing, we were so thankful to have an included hot breakfast since the food in Switzerland is expensive. Hotel was very clean and the room was really nice. The shower was fantastic! One thing to note if you’re traveling from outside of Europe, there is no A/C. The room has a fan but the room was a little warmer than I prefer. Glad we traveled in October so it probably wasn’t as hot as summer time."
"This hotel was charming and located right across from Lake Lucerne and a beautiful park area with miles of walking/biking paths. The room were clean and comfortable. The staff was lovely. They helped us with everything from dinner reservations to providing umbrellas when needed, and made great cups of cappuccino!"
"Loved location. Valerie at the front desk was amazing so was the other girl that worked there. Food excellent. Hotel rooms are a little worn out needs some work."
