"Loved the quaint Casa da Roda. The property is in need of new carpet and paint in the common areas. But the room was nice and clean and quiet. The refrigerator didn’t work (it was plugged in but the one lonely beer and one juice in it were warm and sad). The breakfast was great! Didn’t get to enjoy the indoor pool because they charge extra for it (surprising). Only the outdoor pool was included. I would think they would include the main indoor facilities and just charge for treatments like most...

"Restaurante caríssimo.... apenas pedi leite para a minha filha e........nada! Ela tem cerca de 2 anos um hotel assim não faz sentido. Sai do hotel não me devolveram o dinheiro da noite. Portanto se tem filhos não vão para lá porque os vossos filhos não velem nada, apenas pagar a noite para quem gere faz sentido. Muito mau para ser verdade uma verdadeira porcaria de hotel!"

"An older style property, with very good sized, VERY clean rooms and bathrooms, and friendly, helpful staff. Continental breakfast had good selections, and a nice coffee machine for various coffee choices. The only drawback to this hotel is that it lacks showers/handicap accessible bathrooms which makes it difficult for elderly or handicapped guests. "

"Bedding and towels and toilet roll not replaced, only one pillow each and never anyone on the desk, you had to call a number to contact anyone. Over all it was clean and very well priced. No kettle or iron or hairdryer and shower gel provided was empty, smallest shower I’ve ever seen but good water pressure. "

He designed and oversaw the renovations made to his families home, and his attention to detail made our upstairs suite and the entire house very comfortable. There are multiple common areas for relaxing. Great view overlooking the castle and church. Beautiful grounds. Fresh baked bread and juice from fruit trees on property were delicious. "This is a BEAUTIFUL place to stay. More house than hotel! It appears to be totally renovated and the decor is gorgeous. The view of the pool and the mountains in the distance were wonderful. Our room was spacious and the shower was fabulous. It is located in a very small town with just two restaurants, neither of which were open, so we went to a quaint market within walking distance for cheese, wine, etc. Everything was great. Monsanto was a quick drive away."

"Location is perfectly situated in peaceful surroundings yet short drive into town, absolutely beautifully decorated inside and outside, family owned by wonderful people who made us feel more like family than renting guests, breakfast served to your table with homemade honey, marmalades, and meats/regional cheese, and fresh bread! Our room was comfortable and had a nice view of the mountain…a/c worked quietly and efficiently. Bathroom small but shower had hot water and ample room to place...
