"Really nice place to use as a base. Location is perfect for exploring Basel. Facilities were clean and perfectly functional for our needs.
The breakfast was ample, with a good variety of fresh food and drinks. There is a bit of a walk from reception to the room but not excessive and does involve a couple of flights of stairs. Breakfast is on the 8th floor which you can get to by lift. From here you have lovely views over the city.
The staff were always helpful when we had questions. Would...
"Overall this is a very good hotel. The rooms are very clean, the staff are superb and very helpful. I especially liked them providing me with a bottle to fill with water, freely available on each floor -this was wonderful.
My only criticism, and I’m being pedantic, is that it’s not obvious where to pay for items in reception fridges, I queued at bar only to be told I had to wait behind 5 people at reception waiting to checkout (I was joined by 6 others waiting to pay for same items at bar)
But...
"We scheduled an extra day to spend some time in the area. We were able to use the free local bus system that stopped right across the street from the hotel."
"Don't stay here while hotel is under construction - safety issue.
First, the in-room mini-fridge was broken—the front desk failed to mention at check-in. If we were notified, we wouldn't buy groceries. Because the hotel was under construction, they had to take our groceries to a sister property three blocks away to keep them cold. When we were ready to pick up our groceries the next day, we were told we had to walk over and retrieve them ourselves, which we were not aware..
The biggest issue,...
"Camera pulita e comoda. Personale gentile e disponibile. C’è la possibilità di parcheggiare la macchina nel parcheggio coperto al piano interrato. Comodissimo.
Ci siamo trovati molto bene. Consigliato!!"
"Very comfortable beds and great room for families.
Not much dinner options locally so maybe plan ahead!
Bathrooms need a bit of upkeep but a great price."
"Location is ideal for travellers, rooms are functional and clean. The food is delicious, esp. The buffets. The free EV charging points much appreciated"
"We had a long day driving from the Côte d’Azur toward Denmark. Our initial plan was to go through Alsace, but the A7 was so congested that we decided to head toward Switzerland after Valence.
When we reached Geneva, we still had enough energy to drive a bit farther, even though it was a risk, as there are far more hotels around Geneva. Luckily, we found this gem on our way.
What I would like to highlight most is the quality of the mattress and the bedding. It is so important to have a proper...
"Great location; Enjoyed a delicious dinner with 4 Swiss friends in their restaurant.
I suggest if this hot spell continues, they offer just a plain sheet on the bed, besides the quilts."
