"If you’re thinking of booking a compact room from this hotel then please don’t go by the pictures supplied online. You may be better off paying a bit more for a normal room though I’d be interested to see the size of these before I could comment. Our room was like a shoebox, I’ve never stayed in such a small room and with one tiny tiny window in the corner. If you’re claustrophobic this would not be for you."
"The food in the hotel restraunt was first class and the restaurant staff were excellent, helpful, courteous and always with a smile.
The only downside, and it's not a criticism of the hotel, Guernsey is VERY hilly and the hotel is at the top of a VERY steep hill, and taxis in St Peter's Port are non-existant.
The island bus service is very good but don't reley on the timetables pinned to every bus stop, get a timetable from the bus office opposite the bus stands."

De receptie is maar beperkt bezet en daar buiten kun je wel binnen komen met code via SMS, maar die kwam bij ons niet binnen. Dat vroeg om even wat communicatie via een intercom. "A very relaxing hotel with a warm, friendly atmosphere. This was a great base for us as a couple to explore Guernsey as there is a bus stop right outside. Staff were always welcoming and helpful. The breakfast options and quality were very good. The indoor pool was very nice, especially with 2 relaxing jacuzzis. The hotel was generally quiet so I’d recommend it for a relaxing break."
"The first thing to say is that we had a really great week staying at The Imperial and we would go back. The first night was not good as we were given a very noisy room (no 6) at the back of the hotel above the kitchen on one side and above the public bar on the other. Despite being fully booked, the staff did everything to sort this out and we were given another room - much better. The hotel is being slowly updated so has an old-fashioned feel, especially the bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent...
"A lovely stay. The staff were very welcoming and beds/rooms comfortable. Both breakfast and evening meal were very well presented and cooked and restaurant manager was always cheerful and helpful. I will most definitely be coming back to stay."
