"Lovely grand dame hotel with fabulous views. Helpful staff. Great covered porch with lake views and bar service. Eileen in the breakfast room is amazing."
"Wow, I was amazed when I walked into the room to discover it had aircon installed. Switzerland was still experiencing the effects of a late heatwave, so this was an unexpected surprise. The hotel is smack bang in the middle of town, accessible by walking or many busses almost at the doorstep. It was right on the fringe of the Old Town, with many interesting walks, views, restaurants nearby. Although my room was small, it had everything I needed, including a proper shower with doors, small...
"I chose the Barabas Hotel for several reasons….price, location, breakfast included and good reviews….and was not disappointed. It fit our needs (which are simple…a clean and quiet room, comfortable bed and nice bathroom) and even exceeded expectations with towel service and room freshening each day. The front desk staff were both welcoming and full of good information. We did arrive early so took advantage of the luggage storage offered. The breakfast provided was more than sufficient and I’d...
"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and everything was well maintained. We really enjoyed our experience and would definitely stay here again."
"Nice, clean hotel w/helpful front desk checkin. Great location with walking distance to train station & bridges & many great restaurants & shops! The room was nice & clean but very small & very noisy if you want to open the windows."
"It was close to the old downtown, walking was 10 minutes or so. Wasn’t busy on the street of the apartment, so it was quiet at night which was nice.
The entry way from the main door really needs some paint and updating and could smell cleaner. The kitchen sink has leak and no hand towels in the kitchen. The room didn’t look as pristine as the pictures online. The bathtub they should have nonslip things in the bottom of the bathtub.
The staff that checked us in was very nice and greeted us...
"LOVED the character of this hotel! Rooms were attractive and comfortable while retaining charm. Staff was wonderful! Right across from lake shore walk and hotel provided us a bus pass to use. Near some lovely restaurants but the breakfast at the hotel was excellent!"
"The views are spectacular. We stayed on the 4th floor facing lake Lucerne. Breakfast buffet is a nice touch. Staff is very friendly. The pool is heated and lovely!"
