"Room was well presented and very clean. The bathroom was the same apart from the sink took forever to drain. My biggest issue was the mattress. It was horrendous. Very uncomfortable, thin and cheap. I had a really bad sleep. The food was good but the service was poor. I was given my food but the waiter didn’t give me any cutlery, I had go looking for some. I’m not sure how they thought I was going to eat my food. "

"We chose Holyhead because it’s close to South Stack (incredible scenery, and lots of birds - and baby birds!), and Newborough (we didn’t end up going there, but it sounds beautiful). Holyhead itself is a bit run down, and not a tourist destination, more of a pass-through place according to the locals. But The Hut was close to Market Street with pubs, restaurants and grocery stores, and an easy walk from the train station. We managed to get a taxi to South Stack (there aren’t a lot of them),...

"Great place to stay for business in Bangor, warm & friendly enviroment. the Pub downstairs is nice and cheap and the food was value for money. Also within an easy walk of Bangor centre if you want to visit the pier or one of the pubs "

"An overnight stop before catching a ferry the next morning. Lovely pub, which was busy on our arrival at 8pm. Menu good and food was enjoyable but mains arrived instantly as soon as we’d finished our starters, which made our meal feel a bit rushed. Our room was wonderful- all rooms are locally themed- well decorated, comfortable with every sort of tea & coffee you could ever imagine! Peaceful area on beautiful Anglesey."

"Convenient stop off near to Holyhead. Spacious room, friendly and helpful owners, cooked breakfast was very good. It would have been nice to have had water in our room and larger milk jugs, but more milk was requested and supplied so not a problem. "

"Rooms were vary hot, even with sash window open at night. Then there was noise from the street. Slow service at the bar. Breakfasts were fabulous and very big. No faults on breakfast "

The staff & Ben the owner are very much on the ball friendly & helpful.s The most intriguing & quirky positive part of the hotel is the large interesting bar area which acts like a bar, restaurant, lounge, coffee shop & general hang out community hub fantastic!!!"
