"Great location, lots of restaurants and shops in close walking distance. About a 5/10 min walk to the promenade. Our room was great, the bed was comfortable. Staff lovely and booked a trip for us. We enjoyed the breakfast. Ideal to grab a quick bite before you head out.
There was an occasional smelly drain in our bathroom but nothing that bad.
Would stay here again."

"Smart Hotel Montevideo was perfect for our trip. The location is ideal for exploring the historic parts of the city on foot. The entire hotel, including our room, was spotless. The area around the hotel isn't the prettiest, but it felt safe at all times. The service was top-notch—the young man working at reception (I unfortunately forgot his name) was incredibly helpful and attentive. We could stay here again!"

"Me hospedé primero una noche y luego 2 noches, es super conveniente lo cerca del aeropuerto. Dejé olvidado un abrigo, escribí y el personal muy amablemente me lo guardo.
Para mi segunda estancia nuestra habitación tenía un problema de mal olor pero la señorita de recepción nos resolvió rapidísimo y nos dio un upgrade a una suite super linda.
El desayuno rico, hay parqueo sin costo extra."

"The location is very good, on a quiet street.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.

"The listing advertised air conditioning. In muggy Montevideo spring weather, my room's unit blew only heat. The manager told me the hotel has no AC this time of year, only heat, and handed me a plastic fan.
The TV was no better. The remote's batteries were dead and the channel box didn't work either. When I asked the front desk for batteries, they told me I'd have to wait for maintenance in the morning. Batteries. I gave up.
When I went to Expedia about the AC, the hotel told them they did...

"Es un hotel nuevo, pequeño, tipo boutique. Muy bien ubicado y en excelentes condiciones de mantenimiento. Las habitaciones son pequeñas pero muy acogedoras y cálidas. el ambiente es tranquilo y relajado.
El personal es super atento y el servicio de desayuno correcto y de buena calidad, sin ser abundante pero da lo que uno va a buscar.
