Rooms big & comfortable beds.
Not that near shops/restaurants.
Car needed to get around. 20 mins walk down a track road (pitch black at night) to nearest restaurant.
Couldn't get taxi back late at night.
Onside restaurant menu not much choice or food not to our taste (for our daughter especially)

"Run-down hotel. The pool needs to be looked after, the food was horrible, and the room had a kitchen but absolutely nothing in it - no utensils, pots and pots or plates. The breakfast and dinner is served in the hotel lobby. There are holes in the wall on the balcony, the trash was overflowing in the communal bins and the room was SO hot because the air conditioner couldn’t keep the room cold."
"Total dépaysement dans ce chalet magnifique de Rita qui nous a accueilli comme si nous étions de sa famille. Jardin magnifique, une proximité avec un pont autoroutier au loin nous a un peu inquiété au début puis en réalité on ne l’entend pas. Cadre agréable et piscine particulièrement agréable. Le chalet isolé dans le jardin est absolument magique, mais il faut le demander à l’avance pour l’avoir, les autres chambres sont dans la maison elle-même. Un vrai nid douillet. Toute la famille...
"Pretty awful stay in Enna. The host would not let us check-in until 3pm, which I understand is the check-in time, but everywhere else in Sicily they allowed for a check-in at least an hour early, if not a few hours earlier. It was obvious we had traveled a long way on a hot and sweaty bus, but no, we couldn't check-in early. It is not as if the two rooms were spectacular or needed major cleaning, since the rooms are super basic, smell bad, and offer the cheapest pillows, sheets, and blankets. On...
