"Lovely hotel with really well done communal space design, felt like I was in an architectural digest spread. The room, bed, and pillows were comfortable. The only issue I had was that the water in my shower didn’t stay a constant temperature.
Would love to see a hotel like this have a fitness center/gym facility."
"Room and bathroom were very clean. Hallways are a little rundown. Card keys get randomly deactivated. Restaurant is quite decent. Close to the historic center and shopping."
"Hotel is very well situated near good restaurants, pub and music. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was very small with barely room for our not large bags. As with many hotels in Europe/UK and even the US, there is little room for luggage so it is frustrating having to step around luggage on the floor. Often for two travelers, two luggage racks and room to set them up would be great. We had a room with a bathtub/shower combo. The floor was very very slippery so we mentioned to staff...
"Other than the loud noises at all hours of the night (and morning) from other guests this place was great. And you might be thinking “how is that the hotel’s fault?”. I can assure you that when you receive a knock at 3 am on your door from someone going down the hallway and knocking on everyone’s door that you too will be looking to place blame somewhere. Maybe some signs, a reminder at checkin, some cameras, something that reminds people to be courteous, because apparently they need to be...
"I had the pleasure to stay at this quaint little B & B last night and I would definitely visit again! The hosts were extremely helpful and the room that I had was perfect for me but also would have been great if my husband was traveling with me too. The location was absolutely perfect for an easy walk to dinner followed by an ice cream and a walk along the water front before dinner. The property is 170 years old and it was fabulous!"
"I absolutely loved my stay at the Killeen House. I stayed two nights, traveling solo and this was my first stay after a long time traveling. The staff were so welcoming and kind. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the grounds are gorgeous. So peaceful. Highly recommend this establishment, and hope to be back someday soon."
"I can't express how wonderful our stay here was. The airline lost my daughter's luggage and we asked the hostess if there was anywhere around that we could go and pick up essentials. She took great detail explaining the area and our options. It didn't end there. As she lived close to the property, she went the extra mile to go home and brought back a bag of clothes for my daughter. This was so appreciated as the coat was in her luggage and she was able to wear the donated coat for the...
"Irma and John, the owners, were simply wonderful. Very kind, helpful and informative. It was such a fun and quaint experience to stay at the Fern Rock B&B. Highly recommend!"
