Hedgesville itself doesn’t have a lot going on - a few independent restaurants & shops, a Martin’s grocery store. If you’re looking for Walmart or chain restaurants, there are plenty in nearby Martinsburg. This visit for us, though, was all about staying in and enjoying the woods around us. "The cabin was immaculately clean and comfortable! We had so much space for our party of five to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The beds were very comfy, and the full, updated kitchen was so useful during our stay as we were in the area for a reunion. We loved the outdoor area, too, and enjoyed spending time talking around the firepit. The homeowners even provided the marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate to make s'mores, which we did! "It was a great get away but needs a good cleaning. Host does not have a cleaner come in between stays it’s your responsibility to clean or tidy up before you leave. We are not messy by no means and we don’t make a mess but I am there to relax. I had to clean the shower before we could use it. If you had more than 2 people the water will be an issue. If you flush the toilet and try to shower do it quickly or you will be out of water. Front porch swing was my favorite spot."
