"Very friendly staff and a warm welcome for us and our bikes on arrival and we appreciated the option of having dinner on site as it was pouring rain. The dinner was excellent and tasty even though not cooked on the premises.
We appreciated the use of the kettle downstairs in the lobby but would have like one in the room.
We had a problem during our stay and the staff member Tom went above and beyond to help us - he was polite, understanding and everything you could wish for.
Great shower and...
"Lovely spot, staff excellent, homemade, organic and locally sourced breakfast. Lacked an evening restaurant and options in Chinon in October were a little limited as off season.
Great location to explore Chinon wines and Cremant near Saumur.
Fontevraud-l’Abbaye was an interesting place to visit."
"Everything was as described.
The staff are very helpful, flexible on the menu, happy to give advice on the region as well.
I’ll happily stay there again"
"The hotel lived up to our expectations and was ideal as a centre from which to tour that part of France. The one small drawback was that it was a little out of the centre of Azay-le-Rideau to which it took a good 15 minutes to walk."
"Many things were not acceptable in regards to our room. The windows did not open fully due to the curtains blocking them and it was stifling hot. and when we tried to manipulate them, we were afraid they would break.
The daily housekeeping was unacceptable - coffee cups were left dirty in the room, the bathroom didn't appear to have been cleaned at all, and in the bathroom the windows did not shut properly. The water from the shower went all over the floor. In the middle of our stay, we found a...
"Really everything about the hotel was excellent. The location is a short walk to the Villandry chateau. It is also an excellent location for people using bikes. There were a good number of thém parked on the grounds. With the heat we were looking for a place with air conditioning. This was one of the very few. It was relaxing and quiet. Good food, welcoming staff. We rate it highly."
