"The staff and location are excellent. It’s literally across the street from the train and main Mainz bus stations. The hotel doesn’t offer any special amenities like say a Hilton would, but to be honest most of us basically want a clean, safe and comfortable place to lie our heads down at night. Some rooms have carpeting and others wooden floors. There was an issue with my first room hours after I arrived. The staff wasted NO TIME in moving me to another room. They knew I was traveling alone...

"This hotel is well situated in the center of the medieval town. Our windows looked out on the Altehaus (1392). They have very limited onsite parking (try to reserve ahead) but the public garage on the river is only a short walk. The included breakfast buffet is adequate if not sumptuous but the room was very modern and comfortable and the staff, friendly and helpful. Overall a great choice, reasonably priced for a night in Bacharach"
